an unfortunate event last friday...

on friday after work last week, i left the office at abt 8pm and was driving to N's place to have dinner with her. i was at the "jln leisure mall" (as YW calls it! hahahaha...) when suddenly i heard a small explosion! and immediately felt my car tilt backwards to the right! i was like, "oh shit, my tyre burst!" i immediately turned on my hazard lights and made my way to the left shoulder of the road (in after hours traffic!).

after stopping, i called N and told her what happened. and the good soul immediately came to my rescue!

omigosh! look at that! luckily the traffic was pretty heavy and i was travelling
at quite a slow pace. if i were speeding, i'm sure the car would have overturned!

by the time N arrived, the traffic has thinned somewhat,
but the cars were zooming by pretty fast!

as the burst tyre was facing the traffic, N and i decided that it'll be too dangerous for us
two gals to change it. so she engaged her cousin bro's help (guys will work faster mah!).
here, we have nothing else better to do while waiting for cousin bro to come

N's task was to alert the passing cars of our presence there by waving around a flashlight

a bout of mini-depression?

hmm... dunno what's wrong lately. been feeling so listless... nothing seems to be going right at the moment. everything is like a big mess... can't see the road in front, can't see the direction...

music in the air!

look what i found in my store room! it's the cd/cassette radio player that dad gave to me (because there's a bigger and better one at home already!), that i kept in the store room when i got myself a bigger and better one, and duly forgotten!

was rummaging in the store room the other day when i came across this and thought, "hey, i have this!" so i brought it to the office the next day, and since then, mixFm has been playing non-stop from the time i sign-in to the time i sign-out! will be bringing some cds later, when i get bored with radio. hehe...



now everyone who comes near my workstation will be bobbing their heads to the rhythm of the music. sometimes they even do some kind of dance or break out in passionate singing! so funny...

of crazy weathers and house plants...

phew! the weather nowadays has really gone bonkers! all i want to do is to stay indoors the whole day until the sun goes down. then only i'd attempt to go outside. that also, the heat is enough to make us sweat buckets!

normally i don't really sweat a lot. but the weather now is so hot that i'd sweating right after i finished taking my bath, even before i have time to put on my clothes! urgh!!

anyway, i have this house plant (dunno what it's called) which don't really need lots of water. on normal days, i'll water it once only every 2-3 days... but nowadays, i water it everyday, and YET it still looks like this when i get back from work!




2 or 3 hours after watering it, it'll look healthy again...


hmm... maybe i should water it twice a day?

luckily some rain fell this evening... but it's not enough! pray this hot and dry spell won't cause water shortage...

its screen was considered one of the widest of its time...
tho' now a lot of newer models have surpassed it

at its final days, it still tried its best... but normal tasks that were a breeze previously have became a daily struggle. it was not able to perform as efficiently and effortlessly as before.

thanks for sticking with me thru thick and think. i'll never forget the times we've had together, and the places we've seen and snapped. tho' many more cameras will come and go in my life, u'll always be my no. 1.
