spot the difference

my room with the piano (top) and post-piano days. can see the difference? not the difference in bedsheet n curtains lar! but the furniture... the piano is the almost black-dark brown thing right next to the computer, in case anyone still can't find it. here, the arrangaments are quite similar, unlike the pre-piano days. too bad didn't have that pic in soft copy, coz was taken a long time ago when i first moved in. that time belum buy digital camera yet...

p/s: my room looks a bit bare without aragon looking down at me sleep hor? removed that poster coz always have the icky feeling of aragon glaring at me n trying to stab me with his sword, esp in the dark! tho' why would anyone, esp righteous aragon, wanna stab such a cute damsel is way beyond me! :Þ

Hello stargal,

Pity you had to let the piano go :( . You could be such a virtuoso :P

As clean and uncluttered (despite having so many slippers, jars etc) you room may be, I have a little comment. A year back I had a bed against the window. I found out later it was really bad feng shui and I moved it. I must say I have had better sleep then onwards, and more peace in my life.

If you don't believe in feng shui, just think about the influence the window is going to have to you; the light, noise, disturbance during sleeping.

Suggest you move your bed next to your door, i.e. with the bedpost against the wall where the door is (I'm not very articulate).

This means your bed is secure on 2 corners, and you are less likely to be disturbed by the window (and the door, too).

Another way to look at it; at the current configuration, everybody would be able to see from outside everything that you do on the bed. This gives you no privacy, and it subconsciously disturbs you.

Of course you might have a different idea. Just my 2 rupees here; please feel to argue with me about this and we can discuss more.

it's been a long time since i play 'spot the difference' ;P

yeah, i agree on boozelover about moving the bed right beside the door. well, if you're concern about the glare, u can always draw the curtains. if you do that, u'll have to move the wardrobe... oh boy! another thing, i'd suggest you put that thing where you hang your towel and stuff by the window. ermmm...you can move your desk by the window as well. put your wardrobe and bookshelf where the desk is now.

aha, hope youre feng shui will be better after all the arrangements ;)

wahlau, suddenly so many "-lovers" in my blog. lemme guess, boozelover is H and boobslover is lotsachi?

thanks for the feng shui tips. actually i knew abt the bed at the window thing. n my feet is facing the mirror, which i know is another feng shui no-no. but after much thought, still think it's the best arrangement, coz need to consider the power outlet for my pc and other electrical gadgets.

but will give ur suggestions due consideration and when i'm really in the mood for a change, might just do it. coz it's no easy feat rearranging everything!

yeah, that's me. you can always use extension for your gadgets. but be careful of the wires. haha...my ex-roomate used to complain much about her fear of being electrocuted by those crazy wires i had in my side of the dorm room - when she's cleaning the room (whoaaa...how nice, huh - to have your roomate to gotong-royong all by herself ;P). anyway, so yeah, use 'wires organizer' (ahh...something like that - u use to 'hide' or tie up the wires, make 'em tidier).

understand? aiks, have to spend money again...

yeah, that's y need to place the pc and tv at the power outlet side of the wall so that can hide all behind the table n cabinet. hate the sight of wires snaking all over the floor. so untidy!

anyway, i ukur-ed di. my bed is a tad (by 1/2 the parquet floor box) too long to be lined up against the door wall. the door won't be able to open! so if wanna rearrange, only option is to put the width of the bed against the door wall and sleep with either my feet or head pointing to the window. and then need to think of the best place to put the tv so that can get best view from the bed! kekeke...

anyway, forgot to ask boozelover: u mean ppl from outside would be able to see me sleeping tucked neatly under my thick quilt and with the curtains drawn tightly closed (clipped with a clothes peg to ensure the wind dun blow it open)? *gasp!

but ok, i admit the sun (window is facing east) is a problem on weekends, hence the thick curtains.

who's outside (next block? next planet?) to peep on you? :P

actually, the ppl in the opposite block can easily see me in my bed (at my current position). in fact, my housemates did saw someone with a binoaculars at that block b4. so very dangerous oh!
