panic! panic!

up until now, i've still no idea what i wanna buy for the gift exhange tomorrow! *pulling hair*

used up my whole 1.5 hrs of lunch time today, skipping lunch, to walk around suria but still can't find anything! bought the 'stand-by' gifts tho', for those who come without any gift, complete with cute wrappers...

notebooks

but i've no freaking idea what i wanna buy to represent me! i've thought of taking the easy way, just buying chocolates. it's unisex enough. now tell me who won't appreciate a box of chocolates, huh? but it's so unoriginal. it's like buying a mug or a photo frame... so boring! *sigh...

even tried 'stealing' ideas from ks during our sms-conversation just now. he said he bought a clasical cd. hmm... something to think abt. but i'm not the cd-buying kind. and i dun think most of the ppl would appreciate my brand of music anyway...

*pulling back on thinking cap* how abt buying stuff that i like? it'll be like sharing a part of me with others! BUT most of the things that i like are cute stuff... what if a guy got it?? deco stuff? so unpractical...

think i need to do another round of walking ard the shopping mall for inspiration. but midvalley on xmas eve??? *shudder* should i sacrifice my beauty sleep to beat the crowd by going there at 10am?

haha!

weiii, what do u mean - it's boring to buy a mug? come on! were u there? at my godsis's xmas celebration 3-4 yrs ago? SJ (the haopoh who decided to turn 'saxy' with all the blowing ;P) got the mug that said '10 ways how not to have sex' (or something like that). that came out as the MOST hilarious gift someone could get and SPICED UP the moment.

anyway, buy a book lah. it 'represents you' what :P oh...but then mahal, huh.

go SASA get some miniature perfumes ;) OR you can always go to body shop as the last resort! even if a guy gets an exfoliator/scrub, it's good - for him, and for all mankind. hehehe...

ok ok, sorry abt the mug comment. but really mar, so sien to get a mug or a photo frame from someone. i mean, it may be cute or funny or whatever, but after that??? i only need 2 mugs - 1 at home, and 1 in the office.

biow, voucher??? hmm... it's practical, but i feel it's a bit impersonal ler. so cold... and no, i dunno who my recipient will be...

yeah, i sokong - voucher is good. wait, voucher is same as gift card, right? it's cold meh? hhmmmmm...no lah. SAY NO! it's another way of giving cash mah... it's a 'generous' way, u know? like an angpow in disguise ;P

i bought a gift card from 'body, bath and works' (something like body shop or crabtree and evelyn) for L... heh. got my reasons lah - 1st, i've to mail it wor. 2nd, i don't know specifically what she likes (i'd personally buy for her, if i know she'll be around me...for me to smell...bla bla bla). 3rd, less mafan :P 4th, it's 'cold' (as not personalized) and yet warm too; give her 'money' to spend wor...can beautify herself for herself and OTHERS (but not me).

ahhh...in the end, it's the thought that counts. even a bookmark will do, sometimes. :)

yeah, like i said, vouchers are very practical. i mean, i'd be happy to get one in the mail, or win it in lucky draw or whatever. but i'd prefer to get something more physical from my friends... to show that they've put in some thoughts into the present. so that's y, i dun give my friends vouchers as well.

anyway, will be blogging abt yesterday night's party later. now gotta to makan! hungry...
