my apartment…

ok, so here i am, at my 1 bedroom apartment. i’ve yet to apply for an internet line, so i’m just typing this out to be posted later. here are some photos…

first thing i did when i got my key! a birthday pressie from N… now i have darth vader to guard my key, dun pray-pray! :)

from the entrance, the door on the left leads to the kitchen.

at one side we have the stove and some built-in cabinets…

  and here’s the washing machine and the fridge.

the door next to the kitchen, also on the left is the bathroom.

here’s the first room. if it’s on a sharing basis, this will be a bedroom, but in my case, it’ll be my living room. the door on the left leads out to the balcony.

 view from the other side… it’s quite spacious, actually. the trolley was what the accommodation supervisor used to help me bring up my luggage and boxes.

and here’s my room. the bed is on loan by the company, until i sort out my own furniture… such hideous bedsheets, i know! :P

so that’s about it. been busy cleaning up, and unpacking… there’s a mini mart right at the corner of the block, and i’ve been walking there a couple of times a day! not that i’ve nothing else better to do, but coz i need to buy my mops, broom, cleaning agents etc.

oh, and i went to ikea today! the layout, look and feel is just like in m’sia! i can even tell what section is up ahead from the current one i was in… hehehe… feels just like home! and the price is also almost similar, so that’s good. bought a “blue-ikea-bag” (neh, the big one that you buy at the counter, as opposed to the yellow one they lend you to shop) full of knick-knacks, some of them stuff that i already have, but are still crossing the indian ocean! at the same time, made some notes on the larger furniture that i want to get, so that i can do some planning to get the most out of my furniture allowance, without overspending ;)
